11th win on the year captures a playoff spot


For the fifth consecutive year the Salmonbellies are heading to the post season after capturing a 13-9 road win in Coquitlam. A penalty filled game but New West took control from the opening face off.


Logan Schuss who had another huge night with back to back 9 points opening up the scoring at 5:06 followed by Jordan McBridge. New west lead 3-2 after 20.


All Bellies in the second with 6 goals while the Adanacs scoring just 1. The New West power play was on firing with 4 power play goals in the second, lead by Mitch Jones with 2. After 40 the lead was 903 for New West.


The third period saw 45 minutes in penalties with a part of the period being played 3 on 3. Coquitlam opened up with 4 unanswered and got within 2 but that would be it as Schuss buried two quick goals which sealed the victory and capture a playoff berth.


Schuss with 9 points on the night (4G, 5A), Mcbride with 6 points (2G, 4A) and the Jones brothers with 5points each. Tye Belanger faced 37 shots on 28 saves for the evening. Mike Messenger goes 19 for 21 on face offs.
