After a tough loss on the island Sunday the Salmobellies came out flying and never looked back as one of the most dominating wins of the season to now take a 2-1 series lead in the WLA final.
Logan Schuss opening up the scoring at 12:05 with Vic answering back on a controversial goal that involved a huddle between both refs and the goal judge - game tied at one. Similar to Sunday but now it was the boys in red and whites turn who rattled off the next TWELVE goals. Lead by Schuss who ended up with 9PTS on the night netted three straight goals for the natural hat-trick. Mike Messenger finished the period with an empty net goal as the Rock went 6 on 5 with seconds to go, Messenger scored an empty net from 90 feet away, Bellies up 4-1 after 20. The second was all New West outscoring Vic 5-0 and grapping a 40 minute lead of 9-1. The second saw Schuss and Crowley with 2 goals each along with Robinson. The third period saw New West on their tear, leading off with four straight goals to make it a 13-1 lead with 6 minutes remaining. With 7 minutes to go thing started to unravel for the Rock as Steve Priolo hands out a vicious butt end and is ejected from the game. Vic scored three and Jones capped off the win with a late power play goal and a 14-4 game three win.

Alexis Buque was stellar in-between the pipes. Facing 56 shots on 52 saves with an astonishing save percentage of .928. Logan Schuss lead the bellies with a sox-trick, 6G and 3A for the night. Followed by Crowley with 8PTS (3G, 5A) and Jones with 6PTS (2G, 4A).
Game four at The Q on the island goes Friday August 25th @ 6PM, then back to historic Queens Park Arena for game five Sunday August 27th @ 6PM
