9-4 Road Win In Nanaimo

Making our first trip to the island for the 2017 season, the Bellies were facing the home team Nanaimo Timberman at Frank Crane Arena. With a delay in the ferry ride over, game time moved back to 6:30PM, this didn't stop the boys who came out flying and grab an early 2-0 lead after one - Brandon Goodwin and Zach Herreweyers each netting a goal. With four different goal scorers in the second, New West increased the lead and after 40 minutes were up 6-2. We continued to roll in the third period with Jacob Ducet adding 2 goals to make it a hat trick for the day.

Alexis Buque stopped 39 on 43 shots to lead the league on both save percentage at .893% and GAA of 4.49. Jacob Ducet lead the team with opts (3G), while Jones (1G, 2A) and Tyrell (3A) both with opts.

WLA Three stars:

STAR 1: Buque, Alexis (NEW)
