Once again the Bellies were back on the island for a critical game four in this best of seven WLA final. Line ups for both teams similar to the previous game with a few changes.
With a huge crowd at the Q the Victoria Shamrocks were off to a fast start with 3 goals in just over 3 minutes to jump out to a 3-0 lead, New Westminster righty Kevin Crowley netted a big outside shot on the power play to make it 3-1, which is how it stayed after 20. The boys in red and white wasted no time in the second and found our legs and ball movement; the Bellies went on a 5 goal tear lead again by Crowley. Again Duch scores to narrow our lead 6-4 with 4:30 remaining but Justin Goodwin on a transition play answered right back. Joel McCready finished the period off and the Bellies now up 8-4.
The final twenty saw a 4-0 run for Victoria with the final one coming at 19:41 on a 6 on 5 to tie the game and send into OT. With Triolo getting a five-minute major for high sticking on Messenger at the end of the 3rd this carried over into OT but the Bellies wouldn’t capitalize on this. With tight play back and forth, Logan Schuss scored a beauty on Bold at 6:24 which would end of up being the winner. Bellies now take the series lead 3-1 and head back to Queens Park Sunday.
