Bellies draw first blood in Series Opener

New Westminster Salmonbellies used a 10 goal outburst to power their way through a 15-12 win in game one of the WLA Semi Finals vs the visiting Langley Thunder

In front of 1200 raucous Bellies faithful at Historic Queens Park Arena  the Bellies and Thunder were all square after one 4-4, when the home team seemed to step on the gas and went into the 3rd period leading 12-5  and built that lead to 14-6 with approx 10 minutes left in the game and  took the win  with a 15-12 final.

Lead by WLA 3 STAR Regular season award winner Logan Schuss with 6G,2A and Keegan Bals career high 5G 2A, the Bellies chased starter Broedie MacDonald  after their 9th goal of the game. Eric Penney stoped 41 of 53 shots thrown his way, the 3 stars were Logan Schuss 1st star, Keegan Bal 2nd star and Brendan Ranford 3rd star.

Next up , game 2  at LEC 745PM Thursday August 6th, before returning to QPA for a Saturday Evening tilt , August 8th game time 7:45pm. Come on down for the BBQ, Beer Garden, and some great lacrosse.
