Bellies Fall 2-0 In The Series Vs Burrards

After a wild second game in the best of seven series, Bellies fall 7-6 against the Maple Ridge Burrards.

Bellies start on top after a quick goal from Mitch Jones. Burrards answer back tying the game at 1 a piece a mere 24 seconds later. This won't be the last time the two teams are tied this game. After 10 more goals, these teams are tied for the fifth time at 6-6 and were never more than two goals apart. Burrards come out with the final goal of the game seven minutes into the 3rd period, staying on top and taking the series 2-0.

The amount of goals may be small, but the amount of penalties were definitely not. There were 16 minor penalties shared by both teams, a 10 minute unsportsmanlike misconduct for Burrards, and a match penalty for the Bellies as Alex Buque gets a penalty for kicking. This causes him to be thrown out of the game, and Eric Penney standing in between the pipes. These teams are out for blood and want more than anything to face the winner of the Shamrocks/Lakers series, and ultimately, travel out east to play for the Mann Cup.

Don't miss any Game 3 action as the Bellies and Burrards continue their battle tonight at QPA at 7:45pm.
