Bellies not afraid of a little Thunder win 11-8

The New Westminster Salmonbellies went into Langley tonight and walked out with an 11-8 Victory over the hometown thunder.

The Bellies were led tonight on the offensive side of the ball by none other than Jordan McBride who had his highest point total of the season thus far with 7 points (3 goals 4 assists), right behind him on the point total tally was making his season debut Kevin Crowley (2 goals 3 assists) and Jason Jones (5 assists) while also getting in on the point totals tonight was Anthony Malcolm who had a hat trick and Lyndon Bunio who chipped in with 4 assists. Austin Shanks had 2 goals on the night, while Mike Messenger had the only single that the Bellies would score tonight to go along with going a sparkling 17-21 in the faceoff dot (80%win percentage), Tony Tremblay, Brendan Radford, and starting Goaltender Alexis Buque also picked up single assists on the night.

Buque also make 39 stops on 47 thunder shots for a .829 save percentage and boosting his season save percentage to .834. The New West power play was 2-4 on the night while the penalty kill finished 1-3.

The Bellies improve their season record to 2-2(500 win percentage) as they had a victory voided earlier in the season, and now return home to Queens Park arena for a matchup with the visiting Coquitlam Adanacs  tomorrow night (Thursday June 6th) Game time is 7:30 PM.
