Game Six - New West Forces Game Seven With 13-7 Win

After down 3 games to 1 your New Westminster Salmonbellies have forced game seven Wednesday night at Cam Neely. The bellies rolled to a 13-7 win at home in front of the largest crowd of the year.

The first period saw some strong defensive play and outstanding goaltending by Alexis Buque to take an early 2-0 lead into the dressing room. Mitch Jones and Joel McCready both scoring. The second period was a shootout with a total of 12 goals and the New West lead stretched to 9-5. At one point Ridge rattled off 3 starlight and came within one but New West came right back with three straight. This included back to back transition goals by Brandon Goodwin. Bellies goal scorers in the second,  Logan Schuss x2, Mike Messenger, Curtis Hodgson, Kevin Crowley, and Brandon Goodwin x2

The final 20 was all New West outscoring Ridge 4-2 and taking game six in this best of seven 13-7.

Alexis Buque faced 46 shots with 39 saves. New West had 8 different goal scores on 13 goals lead by Kevin Crowley with 5PTS (3G, 2A), Jones with 6PTS (1G, 5A0, Schuss and McCready with 4PTS each.

Game seven goes Wednesday night 7:30PM at Cam Neely.
