The New Westminster Salmonbellies had given themselves a great chance to force a game 7 back in Maple Ridge with a game 5 10-7 victory Thursday night they had given themselves a chance to return home with their fans behind their back, a place they had been 6-3 in the regular season but 0-2 in the playoffs, unfortunately for them the Burrards had other ideas as they ended the Bellies season with a 11-7 victory.

Mitch Jones was the leader on this team all season long and Saturday night was no different as he finished the night with 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists), while Austin Shanks established himself as someone that should be around the WLA for years to come he finished the night with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Jordan McBride finished the night with (2 goals, 1 assist) to also finish with 3 points, Keegan BaL had 2 assists while Curtis Hodgson in possibly his final WLA game had an assist, along with Mike Messenger (1 goal), Logan Schuss(1 assist) and Daryl Robertson (1 assist) finishing with single points.

The New Westminster Special Teams had a mixed bag of a night as the Power Play finished the night 4-6 (66% conversation rate) with the penalty kill finishing 2 for 5 (40% Kill rate). Alexis Buque started in net for the Bellies and made 27 saves on 37 shots in 52:47 of action while Neil Tyacke played 3:13 of action and made 4 saves on the 5 shots he faced.

The Salmonbellies would like to thank everyone for the continuous support this season as it gets said all the time from the different WLA teams that they have the best fans in the WLA but I truly believe that us the New Westminster Salmonbellies really do have the best fans, so from myself and everyone involved in the Salmonbellies organization Thank You and we hope to see you at the upcoming World Indoor lacrosse championship from the Langley Event Center from September 19th to 28th.
