The Salmonbellies are part of the 7-team Western Lacrosse Association where they play against the best lacrosse talent in Western Canada. The majority of the WLA’s players are also professional players during the winter and spring, but they play for community pride and a chance at the coveted Mann Cup during the summer season. Every September, the WLA’s best team battles the best team from Major Series Lacrosse (the WLA’s eastern counterpart) to determine who will hoist the storied pure-gold cup.
